Tourist shares his second album ‘Everyday’

Like a strike in the quiet in the night, Tourist has appeared out of the woodwork with a new album to satisfy our listening needs!

Mixing melodies with a keen sense of attention to sound and sample design in all his tracks, English producer William Phillips continues on where he left off with his first album ‘U’ providing what I personally describe as the perfect music for a long scenic drive. My first impressions of the new album ‘Everyday’ is it’s designed to be more beautiful with it ebbing and flowing less intensely than his first album.

He continues to use his vocal pitching techniques and each track feels like it’s a scene in a movie. It truly does give the overall sense of a body of work. The sound design is colourful and music is strangely meditative. I’m really keen to set up some speakers in a room, light a few candles and just lie down and listen to it all in one go to get the full understanding of the journey. Well worth the listen!

To catch him live, he’ll be playing across Aus in March.
