Wollongong is arguably one of the nicest coastal cities in the country. Enclosed in beautiful mountain ranges and long luxurious beaches it’s no wonder that the organisers behind one of their largest music festivals want to see it preserved.

In what could be a world first, Yours And Owls music festival will go completely single use plastic free, including no single use cups or plastic water bottles on site. They plan to do heaps more for the environment with their Facebook post saying “The spiciest mumma of them all is Mother Nature darling and we show her the respect she damn well desrves.”

This is an absolutely huge move from the Wollongong collective and we’re hoping it sparks bigger festivals to jump on board the trend. Check out their quirky video below that details their environmentally friendly plan!
