Suicideyear announces album ‘Color The Weather’ and drop first single

2018 has already been a stellar year for new electronic music, with new quality records from Oneohtrix Point Never, The Presets and the soon to be released debut album from SOPHIE later this week. Now it’s time for the legendary beat-maker Suicideyear to step up to the plate. Having only just announced the new album today, Color The Weather will be released on August 30th via LuckyMe and Inertia records

Following last year’s ‘Hate Songs’ EP released via LuckyMe, Color The Weather will consist of 11 tracks featuring the likes of Casey MQ and London-based vocalist Georgia. According to Suicideyear himself, the album was named after a colouring competition aired on TV by CBS, a title that he felt matched the tone of the album, providing a blank slate to channel their identity into a musical medium. The lead single ‘Days Forever’ sees the young producer explore his more melancholic side, giving his past experience with rappers like Yung Lean a whole new context. With a back catalogue of grimy, dark beats, this new track shows signs of the enigmatic entering the next phase of his career.

Color The Weather will be out on August 30th via LuckyMe and Inertia. In the meantime, check out Days Forever below.
