Sydney born producer Self Tape is the latest addition on the Of Leisure team list, and his new track ‘Tell Me’ has certainly caught our attention.

The second official release from the young gun producer, Self Tape puts his songwriting skills on show with ‘Tell Me’, making it very clear the effort that goes into what he wants to convey, with his complex percussion and driving synths that intertwine with a soft vocal loop that carries the song along. This, in contrast to some pulsing, distorted white noise brings this experimental yet soothing track together nicely.

After copping heavy rotation on FBi Radio as well as support on triple j with his previous release ‘12:51am‘, we’re feeling pretty confident that Self Tape is going to one to keep tabs on moving forward.
