The national tastemakers over at triple j have announced a new podcast kicking off weekly that dives into brand new, unearthed music.

The podcast will be run by the triple j Unearthed Music Director Dave Ruby Howe and Max Quinn, as they take you through the a breakdown of the Unearthed Top 5, (5 of the best tracks uploaded to Unearthed through the week).

Those who are savvy to Triple J unearthed’s podcast history will know that they’ve dabbled in music discovery podcasts before, going as far back as Dom Alessio and Steph Hughes in 2010. While it all comes off a little same-same to me, maybe the more specific format will harbour a bit more success, only time will tell.

The podcast will be updated every Friday, and you can check it out on iTunes, the podcast app and other hot poddy spots. Listen to their debut podcast here.
