The Stranger Things season 2 soundtrack drops this week

With the second season of the hit Netflix Original series Stranger Things winding down to it’s Halloween premiere, I’m sure I speak for most us in saying we’re in super-fan mode.

To hold us over before the October 27th premiere, Stranger Things will be releaisng the full soundtrack for the show for digital consumption, followed by a vinyl and cassette release.

Crafted by S U R V I V E‘s Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, the soundtrack for season 2 has alreayd been confirmed by the guys as “darker and weirder”, with the pair recently elaborating that “we’re introducing new styles of composition, while still revisiting old themes when appropriate… We’ve created new elements that are necessary to support the story, but still want to remain true to the sound of Season 1.”

The soundtrack will be available to purchase and stream on October 20th via Invada and Lakeshore, with the vinyl and cassette releases to follow soon there after.

For now, give their first cut from the soundtrack Walkin’ in Hawkins a spin below and peep the soundtrack artwork to get hyped.
