It’s been a hot minute since London Topaz found success with London-based singer/songwriter Georgia van Etten on the pair’s collaboration ‘Midnight’ on Stoney Roads Records.
Now comes news that you can ‘run run run’ straight into two popping renditions of the track; one, an energetic, percussion fuelled edge on the original, by Sydney artist, Piecey. The other, a techno infused brew of late night acid house by Byron Bay local, Nutrition.
Check out Piecey’s version below, It offers a rhythmic thud more truly taking advantage of the attractively repetitive vocal hook that repeats, ‘run run run’:
Then we have Nutrition. His new track follows a swift rise in popularity with a debut performance at Beyond The Valley and live supports for Crooked Colours, Running Touch and SOFI TUKKER across Australia: This one is the type of track you’d expect to hear 12 hours into a night at the Berghain.
What do you make of each remix? Any favourite?
