In one of the weirder stories to come out of Tasmania this week, Mona Foma (MOFO) have personally invited outspoken QLD senator Pauline Hanson to attend their festival this coming summer. Billed as “Australia’s most irreverent and eclectic music festival”, MOFO will take place from 12-22nd January 2018 across both Launceston and Hobart. 

The festival is striving to reach as diverse an audience as possible, which is where the invite the Ms. Hanson comes in. Festival curator Brian Ritchie says “we parked a billboard out the front of the headquarters this morning and suggested she buy a ticket”. Interesting strategy, lets see if it pans out!
