It’s been a longtime coming but the score for the much loved animated film Akira is getting pressed on wax.
The news was first teased via Twitter last year by Milan Records, who asked the simpel question ‘are you ready’ alongside an image of the film’s logo. The answer is simple; YES!
Nearly a year on from that hype-building Tweet, the ‘Symphonic Suite Akira’ is finally getting a release date and it is this coming September.
Composed by Dr. Shoji Yamashiro of the Geinoh Yamashirogumi collective, the release will bare not only the magical score but also a download card with commentary from Dr. Yamashiro on all things Akira.
