GL return with dreamy, synth-pop tune ‘Destiny’

After astounding us in 2016 with their debut album ‘Touch’, GL have bounced back with their first release of the year in ‘Destiny’.

This bubbly, synth-driven single is the first part of the Melbourne duo’s forthcoming 12″ project, Destiny/Reflect, and once again brings forward that nostalgic, dance-floor-ready tone that has become synonymous with everything GL do.

‘Destiny’, as the band describes, is a track about “looking for the positives and finding happiness in those around us.”

“We were very lucky to have many friends lend their skills to this song –  Jace XL singing harmonies, Haima Marriott on the mix and Phil Binotto on percussion. It is them, and so many other muses, that inspire us everyday. The world is pretty fucked up at the moment but if we all come together, maybe the heart ache will soon be gone.”

You can pre-order Destiny/Reflect 12″ right here. For the die-hard fans out there, suss out the launch party details below and be sure to give ‘Destiny’ a listen.

Destiny/Reflect launch dates

July 8 – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney w/ Fortunes (live), TEES (live) & Andy Garvey

July 15 – Corner Hotel, Melbourne w/ Fortunes (live) & Colette
