Sinjin Hawke has, over his career, become something of an mythical entity due to the simple fact that new music has become such a rarity… Until now.
The Canadian-American producer revealed last month that his highly anticipated and long-awaited debut album was coming, and it is finally here.
Titled ‘First Opus’, this 14-track project comes following an impressive career that has somehow gone without more than an EP despite being a staple name in the experimental electronic field for so long.
This album depicts a wide range of soundscapes and moods, both of which have become synonymous with his music. His eclectic use of instrumentation and field recordings merge together to create a complete package that is quite unlike anything we’ve heard in a long time – but with a track record such as his own, it’s to be expected.
There is no mention of a tour as of yet, but granted the way in which these things go, we may very well be seeing Sinjin Hawke down under in the near future.
Listen to ‘First Opus’ in full below, and enjoy.
