South London musician Novelist has just hit us with a 5-track ‘project’ which he touted yesterday as a bid “to go viral.”  The project in question is 5-track EP titled ‘Be Blessed,’ it marks his first solo release since 2015’s ‘1 Sec’ EP.

The Grime MC recently declared his own genre, pushing the term ‘Ruff Sound.’ The genre feels like a more energetic, younger cousin of Grime, sitting at around 152 – 160 BPM. “I and the supporters of the Ruff Movement already have made a permanent mark in the UK with the Ruff Sound, it exists and is moving,” he told SBTV

Soon after dropping the 100% instrumental ‘Be Blessed’, Novelist let us know via his Twitter account: “You aren’t ready to hear my voice.” Something tells us this won’t be the last we hear from this MC. Until we do, you can stream his latest drop, below.
