Earlier this week LA producer Flying Lotus dumped a hip-hop heavy rework of the Twin Peaks theme song on our heads and it went down a treat. Today, he’s back with some more goodies for us after sharing two new tunes on SoundCloud.
The two tracks finish off a recent flow of uploads from FlyLo that started a few days ago, breaking a fairly long hiatus from music after he turned his attention to film. Both releases include the title of his 2014 album ‘You’re Dead!’ , leading us to believe they are some polished b-sides from the record.
Both tracks are quite dark in tone, with ‘North Star 3′ taking a spookier approach that seems to be produced with a horror film in mind. As for the second cut, ‘You And Your Friends Are Dead‘, this track is intense from the get-go, kicking straight into some distorted guitar and clanging instrumental that leave you feeling on edge. To be expected, I guess.
