As part of it’s new Sprout Series, Canadian brand Tri-Art presented it’s bamboo turntable at The Montreal Audio Fest last week. It includes the Sprout TA-0.5 Turntable, complete with bamboo plinth, platter and tonearm, with Audio Technica AT95E cartridge.
The 9″ arm has a counterweight system made of two craters filled with bronze balls – which allows for adjustment without taking the arm back to rest each time. It also comes sealed in beeswax and soaked in hemp oil, with silver plated cartridge clips and a brass pulley.
It’s currently retailing for US $650, or US $995 with cartridge and MM phono included. See cost and full list of specs here and peep some photos below.
