Zeke Beats Drops Bass-Heavy New EP ‘Dispatch’

Words by Maria Wang

Perth’s king of bass Zeke Beats comes off the back of a wild 12 months with his four-track EP ‘Dispatch‘ out now.

The EP showcases Zeke‘s love for hardware in his signature style of hard-hitting, crunchy analogue bass-lines, which he compounds with an intergalactic flair and grimy hip-hop flavours. Inspired by everything from experimental futurism to video games, the Dispatch EP matches fiery dance-floor bangers with darker, cleverly refined melodic tracks all for the rising bass star’s one purpose: “I hope it melts some faces”.

Widespread attention from last year’s breakthrough Meltdown EP saw Zeke Beats play tour support slot duties for leaders of the game Nero. This, plus ongoing support from Bassnectar, Ta-KuNoisia, and a premier of his recent Mars Attack VIP mix on Skrillex’s Nest HQ sets Zeke Beats up for an absolutely humongous 2017.
