Munich is getting itself a brand new club, but it’s a little different than usual.
Named Blitz, the club is located in a space attached to the German city’s Deutsches Museum.
Set to open next month, Blitz will have a capacity of 600 stretched across two rooms. In conjunction with this, it will be boasting a custom-built VOID sound system as well as a no photo policy.
Resident Adviser have reported that the club won’t be focusing on big lineups, instead smaller and local acts will be taking the reins, with resident DJs including Ilian Tape founders the Zenker Brothers and label mate Skee Mask.
Blitz will be operated by the same people behind the city’s Kong and Bob Beaman clubs. Co-founder and resident DJ David Maullem told Groove that his aim is for the club to be “a place of inclusion in a city where nightlife is mostly about exclusivity.”
The club will also have a restaurant attached to it, and its logo has been handled by designer and musician Trevor Jackson.
Blitz is set to open on April 22, however owners are yet to reveal the launch party line-up, keeping us all in anticipation for something that is sure to be special.
