Thundercat has shared his second single Friend Zone on Valentine’s day for all the lonely hearts out there.

The track, produced by Mono/Poly, is taken from Thundercat‘s third full-length studio album Drunk, which will be released February 24 via Brainfeeder.

The 23-track album, Drunk is structured out to take listeners through Thundercat‘s journey of his ‘hilarious and sometimes dark mind’. 

Friend Zone is totally relatable if you’ve ever been ‘friend-zoned’ but either the way, you can’t help but feel good when you listen to this groovy and funky tune. The idea and lyrics are humorous (“You’ve stuck me in the friend zone // that’s that bullshit”), the song is well written and we can’t wait to hear what the rest of the album is going to sound like.
