This Vintage Skream Mix From 2005 Will Take You To Dubstep Heaven

Skream may be known these days for his heavy-hitting house selections, but as any true fan would know, he began his path in electronic music amidst the Dubstep scene.

The UK-producer, along with a handful of fellow artists such as Benga, was one of the key reasons the underground dance genre took flight in the mainstream, before being manhandled and regurgitated as brostep, a.k.a that sub-genre we don’t speak of anymore.

But thankfully, Skream was one of the good guys in the history of Dubstep, a genre that is still thriving in the underground, and the crew at Get Darker Collective have unearthed a classic mix from 2005 that shows just how good this dude is. Keep in mind, he was 19 at the time!

The mix delves into classic dub tracks, along with unreleased tracks that may very well never see the light of day. I mean, it has been a few years.

Listen to the mix below, and peep the tracklist here.
