Ever Seen A Digital Wind Instrument Before?

Roland have introduced a brand new studio tool, the Aerophone AE-10.

The oddly shaped instrument is the latest and quirkiest offering, playing much like a saxophone but with the ability to access almost any sound, from the sax to clarinet and even synths.

The Aerophone was revealed in conjunction with Roland’s 909 day, and has been causing quite a stir in the music world. In fact, when we asked Roland if we could get our hands on one they said they couldn’t as they were too banked up on pre-sales.

As cool as it is, it will set you back a few dollars, with pre-sales going for around $1400 AUD. Not cheap, but could be worth the investment.
