It goes without saying that the vinyl boom is alive and strong right now, with record sales being higher than digital sales for the first time in yonks. Crazy right? With this in mind, tech company Coming Soon are attempting to flip the vinyl listening process by releasing the first “intelligent turntable”.

The odd looking product, named LOVE, was designed by Swiss designer/entrepreneur Yves Behar, and with just 19 days until release this unique turntable is turning lot of heads with it’s eclectic build and unorthodox playing style. Check out the design below.

So how does it work? The turntable can be synced to any audio device you wish, and from there you “put any size vinyl on one of the two complimentary 7″ record bases. LOVE then scans the vinyl to determine its size and number of tracks. If you’d like to start your listening experience with track 3 simply Press LOVE’s top shell three times or select the track through the app.”

There is not a lot of info as of yet in terms of the specs of the product, and some people are expressing their concern on the company’s Facebook page, but you’ve gotta give them points for creativity.
