Djemba Djemba Sheds Light On The Business Side Of The Music Industry

In a surprising outpour via Twitter, Djemba Djemba has shed some interesting and some-what depressing light on the business side of the music industry.

The LA-based producer, who has released tonnes of impressive originals over the years and helped produce for many artists on their own projects, shared a string of insightful Tweets that act as a heads-up for up-and-coming artists by directing their focus to the harsh reality of the business side of music.

He mentions how he believed the system was “fair” at the start but came to realise it was set up to “benefit the owners”. This was followed by a reality check for amateur producers who share their music online, and how they can be victimised by A&R’s who “trawl” SoundCloud for ideas simply copy them.

He touches on several more points, all very valid and fro someone quite embedded into the electronic music industry this is quite refreshing. Read them all below.
