Barack Obama Has Been Offered A Job At Spotify

With his finally term as Presdient of The United States slowly and sadly trickling down to it’s end, it is time for Barack Obama to really start thinking about what comes next.

Well, it looks like the Chicago local could have a future in the music industry if he wanted it, with Spotify officially offering Obama the role as President of Playlists.

Think we’re joking? We’re not. When Obama jokingly mentioned his interest in a job at Spotify at the end of his Presidential campaign, I am sure he didn’t expect this response from the CEO of Spotify, Daniel Ek, who answered the president with a tweet that reads “I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify. Have you seen this one?”

The role is no light matter either, according to the job description, the President of Playlists must “provide world-class leadership to our playlist editors and supporting staff”, “analyze data and performance in a clear and transparent manner” and “celebrate our diversity of playlists, from Viva Latino to Rap Caviar”.

The real kicker comes in the way of the job’s requirements, which include having “at least eight years of experience running a highly-regarded nation”, “someone with good team spirit, excellent work ethic, a friendly and warm attitude and a Nobel Peace Prize” and the final requirement is that Kendrick Lamar has been to your birthday party.

The perfect job for Barack, right? Talk about some red-hot banter. Go check out Obama’s latest Presidential playlist from back in August. This guy definitely knows how to compile a few tracks.
