The Possé Are Back With Groovy New Single ‘Happy Accidents’

When The Possé released their first track ‘MS-DOS’ a few months ago, just about everyone was asking the same question – “who are these guys?”

The new supergroup is made up of 5 members from all walks of the Australian and New Zealand music scenes. Andrew Elston (Physique / Toni Toni Lee / Catcall), Jarrol Renaud and Ross Ferraro (The Goods), New Zealand’s jazzman Andrew Bruce and Michael Di Francesca – aka Touch Sensitive – have come together once again to make some magic. This time around it’s called ‘Happy Accidents’.

The group claim that it’s “inspired by the arrangement, sound and musicality of traditional dance music styles like disco, funk and early house artists such as Mr. Fingers,” and boy can we hear it. There have been no samples used in ‘Happy Accidents’ either, so everything we’re hearing has been made completely from scratch. A super welcome breath of fresh air in an electronic scene heavily dominated by samples nowadays. Their debut EP, ‘Our Thing’ will apparently be out very soon – get excited.

For the tech heads out there, they’ve also released a full list of the instruments they used to make the track too – checkit below.

Roland Tr-505
Roland Tb-303
Roland Juno 6
Fender Rhodes
Hohner Clavinet
