Doorly Reveals His Wonkiest Selections For The Club

If there is one thing we know for sure about Doorly, it is that he loves Australia. The bloke legitimately loves venturing down to the sunburnt country, and is doing so once again starting this weekend.

We were lucky enough to catch up with the legendary selector this week to pick his brain about what he does best, and in turn we were educated in some of the ‘wonkier’ selections he has in store for his upcoming tour down under.

Dive into Doorly’s wonkiest club selections below, along with all the nitty-gritty info for the coming tour.

Red Rack Em – Wonky Bassline Disco Banger

“So great to see this track get a re-release this summer and get some big plays, such an amazing and interesting track. And it does EXACTLY what it says in the title!”

SR – The Essence Quintessence

“Lovely weird and wonderful funk jam that I love playing at after hours spots. I’d love to know what was going through their minds when they wrote this track.”

Toney Lee – Love So Deep (Instrumental)

“This is an instrumental version of a track I had loved for years. I accidentally put on this version one night and it was like discovering a whole new track, but even better. That bass line is just so much fun!”

Royksopp – Eple

“You have to pick your moment to play this in a club, but when listened to at the right time and under the right influences this can massively take you down the rabbit hole!”

Doorly & Tan Dem Fest The Voice Of Mike Skinner – Tonga Peak Times (Confuse Dem)

“The first release on my new Reptile Dysfunction Label which drops on Dec 23 rd , featuring the legendary Mike Skinner sounding very confused! The whole label project is designed to be left-of- centre and wonky as hell so this was a great track to launch with.”

You can catch Doorly at one of his 10 tour stops below the equator over the next few weeks, which lands in Australia this Saturday at The Met in Brisbane.
