Duke Dumont Walked Off Stage After Having Drinks Thrown And Spat At

Duke Dumont has been dealt an unfortunate card over the weekend, being subject to drunken attacks during his set at Edmonton’s Union Hall.

The UK based house Don had drinks thrown at him and was spat at by drunk attendees on the upper balcony of the venue, before he he announced that “I don’t get paid enough to get spat on” and walked out. Fair enough.

Dumont – who has brought us house heavy anthems such as The Giver’ and ‘Need U 100%‘ – was apologetic to his true fans who were at the show, however he was not interested in being the target of spit and half-drunk beverages. I tend to agree. before leaving the stage, however he gave the attackers a good piece of his mind, saying “If you’re brave enough, come the f*ck down to the stage. If you’re mad enough to spit, you’re mad enough to come right up here.”

They can now say they’ve been staunched by Duke Dumont. Not many can claim that. But they can also say they’re total douchebags who spit at people and just generally suck. Which they definitely do.

So the general rule of thumb: If you go to an event to see an artist perform, try and NOT spit at them or throw stuff at them. It’s not rocket science, guys.
