Sampology is back with his forthcoming ‘Natural Selections’ EP and has been kind enough to give us a teaser of things to come. After taking a break from his renowned AV shows, whilst keeping all original releases close to his chest since debuting in 2012, innovative record label Soul Has No Tempo has proudly offered up “Thicker Than Water” (as premiered yesterday by Gilles Peterson Worldwide).

Soul Has No Tempo was created with the aim of shedding “light on the many shades of quality, soulful and underground music that the world has to offer”, with the hope of inspiring. They have done this. As a torchbearer for collaborative inspiration, Sampology’s passion for extracting and supporting emerging talent from the depths of Brisbane’s evolving Soul/Electronic scene shines within ‘Natural Selections’, as he sets to release his most personal and innovative work to-date.

Exposing a previously untapped side of his vast musical sphere, Natural Selections is an exquisite 6-track EP that delves into Sampology’s afro-percussive and organic influences which he has masterfully produced and laced with lush, live elements throughout. The pinnacle of the EP is the stand-out collaborations and features, with the first being showcased today, with renowned composer and conductor, Gordon Hamilton, arranging strings to accompany up-and-coming singer, Tiana Khasi’s vocals on “Thicker Than Water”.

Soul Has No Tempo will be releasing ‘Natural Selections’ on September 23, digitally and on 12” vinyl with a full colour jacket.
