PREMIERE: Lower Spectrum – Masquerade (Rioux Remix)

Brooklyn based Rioux has delivered a chilling rework of Lower Spectrum‘s ‘Masquerade‘.

The eclectic producer has deconstructed the instrumentally savvy original and re-built it as a club friendly, 7-minute endurance track that flips the pace and bounces off a thick, lo-fi bass line that is chock-full of texture. Mmm, textures.

This handsome remix is one of 5 tracks from Lower Spectrum’s ‘Inverse’ EP which drops today via the good people at Pilerats Records. The EP is also home to the lead track ‘Atlas (Movement I & II)’ which will be available as a free 7-inch vinyl cut to everyone who attends his upcoming gigs across the nation.

“What gigs” you say? Well, Lower Spectrum has lined up three exclusive shows across the country in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, kicking off on September 22. Read out more on the tour right here.

For now, listen to Rioux’s remix of ‘Masquerade’ below and tell us what you think.
