Armstrong Renata, 22, has pleaded guilty to the one punch death of Cole Miller on January 3 in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
The attack, which has been seen as a catalyst for the new Brisbane lock out laws, happened allegedly after Miller and a friend were approached and attacked by four men.
Renata reportedly then came from behind delivering the fatal blow.
A second young man is also facing charges in regards to the attack.
Renata can face a maximum penalty of life in jail and will have to serve 80 per cent or 15 years of any jail sentence he receives.
