Germany’s golden-boy of underground techno, Subjected, has announced an Australian tour this July.

Originally hailing from Hoyerswerda, Subjected was brought up in the tristesse of Berlin-Hellersdorf, strongly socialising with the lower-class suburb and its grey, oppressive tower blocks. The influence was ultimately evident in his musical path, initially experimenting with Hip-Hop and Rap but finding his place in the underground world of Berlin techno of the mid-90’s.

Techno has allowed Subjected to find himself musically – creating his own identity. As a DJ, he is one that doesn’t shy away from avant-garde tracks in a set, yet is also able to pair them seamlessly with other classic productions, continuously providing an attention-grabbing and hugely entertaining performance.

His Australian tour this July is hitting Melbourne and Sydney, at the Mercat and Zoo Project respectively.
