There are countless genres which utilise the instrument, as its prominent in hip-hop, house, techno, and pop. The documentary, released by Atlantic Films and You Know Films, will explore the history behind the 808 and its relevancy and influence in the music world from its creation. The film was premiered this year at SXSW and will also have an exclusive release through iTunes and Apple Music before its global release in theatres and online later on in the year.
