TAXX’s LUEN Curates TAXX MIX 1 To tie in with The return of TAXX Parties

Though it’s been a minute since we last heard from them, today Sydney party group TAXX released their first mixtape, compiled by resident DJ Luen, ahead of their first party since mid last year.

The 13-track-long tape is filled to the brim with local original and remixed goodness. Sampa The Great remixed by Hiatus Kaiyote, Charles Murdoch, Marcus Whale, and Ribongia just to name a few. It’s free to download via their bandcamp here, and is the perfect way to get over this hump day, and look toward the weekend for guidance in this hard time. Also within the release is a sneaky gee up for the first TAXX party in a while, held at the usual place, Plan B Small Club, on the 19th of March. It’s back in full force too, with psychedelic producer Ccolo, NY based Australian, Fascinator, Sydney’s own rap-queen Kimchi Princi (b2b with Luen herself), and half of World Champion, Sudek, filling the bill.

With a mix of sounds unlike anything else, it’s set to be an absolutely massive comeback for TAXX. Could this get any better? Yes it can, entry is free. Sit with that, download the tape courtesy of TAXX and Luen, also free, and enjoy this Wednesday proper.
