Introducing Annie Bass, With Her First Single ‘While I’m Waiting’

Premiering just last night on triple j’s Home & Hosed, today we’re so happy to introduce Annie Bass, and her first ever single ‘While I’m Waiting’. Though this is her first, she’s no stranger to making music, singing on Oisima’s ‘Everything About Her’, and working alongside a number of other artists in and out of the studio.

This introspective song was written during a time of headache and transition and it wasn’t until I finished it, that I realised I had been writing to myself.” – Annie Bass

‘While I’m Waiting’ is such a beautiful welcome for Bass into the music scene as a solo artist. Her voice glides so smoothly over the lush synths, coupled with echoey guitar – it’s really easy to lose yourself in it, and before you know it it’s over. There’s some amazing production credits on this as well, with production from Oisima, mixing by George Nicholas (of Seekae), and mastered by Andrei Eremin – ooft.

If ‘While I’m Waiting’ is anything to go by, Annie Bass will no doubt continue to be a strong and exciting female voice in the local music scene. With an EP due out later this year, we can’t wait to see what she delivers next.
