Brian Eno Announces New Album for 2016

Brian Eno is making a return in 2016, releasing a brand new studio album titled ‘The Ship’.

The king of ambient experimentation in production will be releasing his forthcoming album on April 26, with WARP Records. This will be Eno’s first album in roughly four years since his Grammy nominated 2012 album ‘LUX’.

In his own own words, Brian Eno conveys that he “wanted to make a record of songs that didn’t rely on the normal underpinnings of rhythmic structure and chord progressions but which allowed voices to exist in their own space and time, like events in a landscape. I wanted to place sonic events in a free, open space.”

As well as the album, their will be a a series of Brian Eno installations popping up around the World to coincide with ‘The Sip’s release, where you can hear “an alternative telling of The Ship in multi-channel 3-dimensional sound installations.”

This is going to be great!
