Sydney’s Piknik Électronik has been cancelled.

The boutique techno/house music party throwers took to Facebook today to announce the cancelation of their 2016 season for Sydney, five days prior to the first official party of the year that was aiming to host Kevin Saunderson and Simon Caldwell on headline duties.

The family friendly dance music ambassadors said they “did everything we could and tried until the very last minute, but unfortunately we had to come to the conclusion that it wasn’t possible.”

The organiser’s also state that current ticket holders will be reimbursed for their purchases.
