Vinyl seems to be back in a big way. Over the past week, Technics, Sony and Audio-Technica have all dropped word that they will be bringing spanking new turntable gear to the commercial market soon.

Just in case this wasn’t already enough, Audio company ION Audio have joined the fray. The Audio company who is most famous in the electronic music space for helping pioneer the USB turntable about ten years ago, recently unveiled two flashy turntables.

And you can take ‘flashy’ literally, the cheaper $100 dollar turntable, titled ‘Photon,’ will feature a ring of light which will synchronise to whatever music you play. The slightly more costly version, the ‘Spectra,’ is priced at $130, comes with a remote to change the colours and makes the turntable looks something straight out of Tron.
