That ‘Floating Club’ Finally Made Its Way To Sydney

The floating, three-level club dubbed the ‘Seadeck’ has finally made its way down-under just in time for an Australian summer.

We reported the vessel was meant to make an Australia debut December last year following on from a European stint with a similar theorised music policy with organisers stating they had a run of international and local guests ready to play.

‘Music is an integral part of Seadeck’s ethos with an impressive array of some of the biggest international artists in the world alongside carefully curated lineups of Australia’s best local talent already lined up for the summer season.’

The good news is after some slight delays it’s finally here and will be moored within Rozelles Super Yacht Marina where it’ll operate as a legal venue whilst moving around the harbour picking up guests according to Concrete Playground.

With 3-decks on offer including a below the surface dance floor it’ll surely offer up some relief for those frustrated with Sydney’s current nightlife.

Part owner Scott Robertson who also heads up the DIVISION touring company that recently brought out Pan-Pot and Nina Kraviz shared some insight into the floating party; “…Saturdays will focus predominantly on international headliners, Seadeck Sundays is all about house music and showcasing some of Australia’s best homegrown talent.”

The boat looks to cater to a European culture with VIP booths and waiters on offer for party-goers although no events have been scheduled just yet (keep an eye on the official site for those details).

With Sydney boat parties being struck down by local authorities including anything over 300 capacity it’ll be interesting to see how the floating venue fares.
