There’s a Deadmau5 Musical Parody But The Big Cheese Is Not Happy About It

Some Canadian comedians have lit the electronic music world with a musical comedy based on their very own biggest dance music export, Deadmau5.

The musical parody dubbed ‘Deadmouse: The Musical’ is set to be performed at the Toronto Fringe Arts Festival through July and is ‘written out of love of house music culture.’ – aww.

The premise of the storyline is about a mouse who wants to be a house DJ but is discriminated against for being a mouse. It says explicitly that it doesn’t feature the music or Deadmau5 and the storyline is kind of like a ‘Ratatouille meets Book of Mormon (South Park creators musical).’

In the end Deadmouse works with his best friend David Goudda (get it? the type of cheese) to defeat the rodent-hating bad guy, Avicheese!!!

The play has no association to the man himself but looks like a good laugh although Deadmau5 himself is NOT happy offering up his heavy words via Twitter stating he’s already sent off a cease and desist and will continue with further legal action if the theatrical goes ahead.

While Deadma5 is happy to drive to the desert with " target="_blank">Tommy Lee and let off fireworks, he just isn’t down for a play in which he defeats a mouse version of Avicii which is strange.

If the thing doesn’t go ahead you can still listen to some of the music including the awkward  “Love At First Click” and “Mashup Song Real”.

In short… don’t mess with Deadmau5!
