It’s been nearly a year since DJ Rashad’s passing. He was only 34, and the scope of his impact is still being fully realized. Machinedrum is releasing “Movin’ Forward” on Friday, April 24th 2015 to commemorate Rashad, who was his friend and mentor. The collection will include exclusive, unreleased collaborations, along with two tracks Machinedrum created à la Rashad and the Teklife crew. The first track on the collection is “Understand” by DJ Rashad, Machinedrum, and Nick Hook. Rashad’s signature style is undeniable in every skittering drum beat, and the melody reverberates with his vibrant spirit.
