“DJ Camp” is a thing, and you can attend it.

The Simpsons had ‘Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp,’ and now the Electronic Music Academy in LA have launched their very own band camp – for DJs.

The EMA was founded by Paul Oakenfold, alongside Paul Reder, a veteran with more than three decades of industry experience, including heading up Bass Camp Music Festival.

From May 28 to June 1 2015, lucky attendees will spend time at the refurbished Ivar Theatre in the Los Angeles Recording School – an institution where the likes of Elvis Presley and The Rolling Stones have recorded in the past.

For five days attendees will be culturally educated – learning from musicians and industry experts, managers, agents, promoters, lawyers and DJs/producers, delivering lectures on production fundamentals, business and marketing, social/viral media campaigning, building a ‘brand’ and so forth. Highly sought after experts will also be open to Q&A sessions, hands-on workshops, studio demonstrations and loads more.

Program highlights include:

Paul Oakenfold: Really needs no introduction, one of the biggest electronic music artists in history, Paul will be sharing his personal history and career insights with the hopeful young producers.

Jason Kadlec: a digital marketing expert, involved in the launch of Topspin and INgroovesFontana. He has also run online marketing campaigns for Bassnectar, Amon Tobin and more.

Liquid Todd: Bringing 20 years of experience in radio and production, Todd has been pivotal in building many internet radio stations, as well as hosting an afternoon drive show on SiriusXM’s BPM channel, and having performed as festivals including Coachella, Ultra and EDC.

Matt Meyer: One of the most prominent young agents in the industry today, he has been working at AM Only since 2012 and manages the likes of  Cosmic Gate, Krewella, Paul Oakenfold, Sam Feldt, Tritonal, Whilk & Misky and more.

Oakenfold says, “This is a great opportunity for me to give back to the electronic music community and take the time to teach and mentor students who have an interest in an industry that I’ve so proudly been a part of all these years. For me, the chance to make a difference in the careers of budding new artists is something I’ve always wanted to do, and providing this education is truly a dream for me. The Los Angeles Recording School is an ideal location in the heart of Hollywood, with a faculty whose goal to empower the next generation of entertainment industry professionals is in line with our own.”
