OMI – Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)

Hailing from Germany, Felix Jaehn has already conquered the charts in over 10 countries with his remix of OMI’s “Cheerleader,” and is striving to do the same in America. The surging tropical house pioneer has become an integral cog in the rising popularity of deep house, thanks to his euphonious compositions that take listeners back to a sun-soaked day by the pool. Jaehn comes from a classical background, having played violin in his earlier years, and his strong musical ability is apparent in his remix of “Cheerleader,” as the up-and-coming superstar takes several aural pieces, and uses them to create his own unique compositions. Jaehn keeps the vocals organic, but completely reproduces the track, layering a foundation of silky piano melodies and rhythmic bongo patterns underneath the catchy vocals, and an inspired trumpet riff, to give the song a lazy, summer vibe. The remix is available for purchase on iTunes here.
