Red Bull Music Academy To Take Over One Australian City

After opening applications for this years Red Bull Music Academy to be held in Paris comes news that one Australian city will get a little taste of what’s to come during the first week of February.

Taking over famed recording spot Studios 301 the RBMA Australia crew look set to inspire you for a full week starting February 2nd through to the 6th with talks, how-to’s, info sessions and collaborations led by previous alumni as well as some seriously special guests.

Those included will be Flight Facilities, Seekae, Jonti, Charles Murdoch, Touch Sensitive and WARP signee Mark Pritchard who’ll meet and create with international talent.

It’ll also feature last years stars Mark Maxwell, Summer Disbray and Lewis Cancut who we managed to chat and hang with in Tokyo at last years event plus all the other crazy stuff that went down!

They also contributed to a whopping 35 track compilation that RBMA are giving away for free (the site design and navigation with worth a click alone).

We’re not 100% on entry aside from ‘future applicants being invited’ but hoping they open the doors a little wider to get some hungry kids in there. We’ve been told to keep an eye on the RBMA Facebook page for more details.

Check out two of our favourite lectures of last year, Tom Tom Club (Chris and Tina of Talking Heads) and Tony Humphries
