Kilter Collaborates With Hidden Aussie Talent

At the end of last year, we approached the Australian Institute Of Music to team up on a cool idea. With access to AIM’s kitted out studios, we joined forces with producer and multi-instrumentalist Kilter and opened a call out for demos, offering two budding producers the opportunity to work with him!

Having seen AIM student Patrick Blake finish an original dubbed ‘Well Now’ with the assistance of Kilter, it was now singer and song writer James Chatburn‘s turn to get in the studio for their collaboration.

The experience for James exceeded expectations with the Newcastle based producer having such a successful session that he ended up a matter of weeks later performing the track with Kilter at Field Day 2015.

And the good news didn’t end there with Kilter’s home label etcetc signing the track for an official release on an eventual EP. Stay tuned!

For anyone interested in moving their career in the realm of dance music, check out the Bachelor of Music course that focuses on Composition & Music Production.

Those wanting to catch Kilter live can head to Mountain Sounds where he’ll play alongside Carmada, SAFIA and more.
