Bush doofs are usually entrenched by the linen laden, bindi wearing, spiritually free types who care about authority as much as they do bathing during their forestry benders.

That changed slightly over the weekend at the raucous Rainbow Serpent Festival headlined by Marcell Dettmann, Lee Burridge and more when a friendly Police officer got down and dirty with the crowd.

A short video of the ho-down emerged online that’s beginning to take a firm grasp of the internet showing the NSW Police officer, turning his hat backwards, throwing down a few moves of his own and dance battling a couple of punters!

One festival goer managed to give 9 news the low down on the party starting copper;

“He was a dead set legend and he was happy to be working at the festival. I talked to him by coincidence hours before just whilst he was on duty and he was having a great day.”

The icing on the (crusty) cake? A huge group hug at the end. Now THAT’s how you protect and serve the community.
