Diplo has been riding the wave of success for almost a decade now and could pin a lot of that on the back of Major Lazer the group he originally formed with Switch way back in 2008.

Since then he’s worked with a raft of stars including M.I.A, Dillon Francis, Ariane Grande, Madonna, Britney Spears, Snoop Lion and more. Recently he decided it was worth working with ultimate douchecanoe Justin Beiber alongside Skrillex but this seems only one of two small hiccups of late.

Skip forward to November 2014 and Diplo has had another kid with ex-girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart post their first child Lockett (wut?) and he’s managed to name him… get this, Lazer Lee Louis Pentz.

Why do we get the feeling Riff Raff was involved in this decision?

Although lazers are cool, it feels like there are some more relevant things or people he could have named him after. Here are five picks!

1. Milhouse

 

Can you imagine this shit if Diplo called his kid Milhouse? Haha Milhouse Lee Louis Pentz has a better ring to it although we hope he doesn’t turn out like the squinty, glasses wearing, waterproof pantaloon kid from The Simpsons

2. Badger

 

Sure lazers are pretty powerful and almost kill James Bond on the reg, but what about Badgers? They really don’t give two fucks and that’s sort of the ethos Diplo rolls with it seems. That and he could play a mean character in a western flick – Read; Badger Lee Louis Pentz, yeeehar!

3. Frizzle

 

Since Diplo himself was a school teacher back in the day we thought about the best teacher ever and it’d have to be Ms. Frizzle who navigated the magic school bus on it’s adventures to some crazy ass places. Also Frizzle had some killer style so that opens the door to a clothing line if Lazer was ever up for it
