The Man Behind The Lock Out Laws Quits Politics And #NOTEARSSHED

If I were a politician, I would want to be remembered for having a positive impact on society, but in the case of Barry O’Farrell, it’s been a career marred with controversy.

Take for instance his sacking of 15,000 public servants, or his dodgy deal with James Packer for a high roller casino?

What about the introduction of the 1:30am lock out laws in New South Wales after Thomas Kelly was coward punched and killed at a little after 10pm that eventually led to the closing of a prominent Kings Cross Club?

What about most famously his poor memory when it came to accepting a bottle of Penfold Grange from Nick Di Girolamo.

What makes this retirement so beautiful is the irony that the hashtag he made for us is the one we’d like to say to wave him goodbye with. #NOTEARSSHED

Let’s hope he spends his retirement making up for his mistakes. Say goodbye to him here.
