Stoney Roads’s favourite dry humoured Frenchmen Mr Oizo is BACK (cue sighs of obscure relief and bloody start following him on Twitter cos he’s funny)! and in untypical fashion this time, it’s not on an independent free download nor a release on buddy Busy P’s label Ed Banger Records.

Yep, this time the part-time film director and full-time awesome bro is thumping out his left of centre output on Fly Lo’s Los Angeles based Brainfeeder label.

Set to feature a collaboration with Bart B More amongst a total of ten tracks, the album that has been christened ‘Church’ has got us just a little bit excited before its release November 17th.

The first taste of the album is track numero six, AKA “Machyne” that takes the noises from a ringing telephone and mixes it with Oizo’s forward thinking obscurity and heavy compressed bass to create a not so typical symphony of what I can only describe as fuzzy feels in the head.

What to expect?

 

Our guess is as good as yours and that’s what makes his music so fun to listen too. Has he been swayed to create anything that’s within the realm of what popular now? Will there be another bassline ‘flat beat’ classic amongst this??… Whatever the result, we’re just happy Oizo is keeps on keepin on.
