Dillon Francis Made A Song With The Guy From Panic! At The Disco

Friday curve ball for you… Dillon Francis has teamed up with Brendon Urie of emo-rock band Panic! At The Disco for an angsty electronic track dubbed “Love In The Middle of a Firefight” and it’s not half bad.

Dillon claims this to be his favourite track on the album and might possibly have something to do with the band also being his guilty pleasure back at high school. Can we quickly picture a pimply Francis thrashing about his room to “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” while attending Spanish class with sister band Haim?

The track is definitely built for the radio at a nicely packaged 3:15 but you can hear some decent production bubbling below, hell we wouldn’t be fussed with an instrumental if it wasn’t too much to ask.

This along with other feature heavy tracks including Martin Garrixx, Major Lazer and The Chain Gang of 1974 will be released in Dillons ‘Money Sucks, Friends Rule’ album due out locally on Sony October 28th.

Those wanting to catch Dillon Francis in DJ mode can see him at Victoria’s New Years Eve festival Beyond the Valley or New Years Day tradition Field Day here in Sydney alongside Action Bronson, Cashmere Cat, Jamie xx, Kaytranada and more.
