Our favourite funky ass creative arts festival Laneway is (of course!) back for another year of fun and we have the first details on when / where it’s all going down as well as the first act.

This year will see the return to iconic locations in Singapore, New Zealand and the five major Australian cities. So what’s changed? There’s been some adjustments with Brisbane and Adelaide now opening up to 16+ year olds with the Brisbane leg set to enjoy a more roomy area of the RNA Showgrounds. Meanwhile, in Sydney, everyone is waiting patiently to see if DA approval has foregone council approval so they can once again return to Sydney College Of The Arts.

With the first act being revealed as Canadian multi-instrumentalist Mac DeMarco and a rumoured appearance by Banks, FKA Twigs and Vic Mensa we’re looking extra forward to Red Bull’s involvement once again after teeing up appearances from Four Tet, Jamie XX, Earl Sweatshirt, Cashmere Cat and more last year.
