Bearded Australian fellow Chet Faker and aspiring rapper GoldLink have come head to head for an original track courtesy of the clever folk over at Yours Truly and footwear dons Addidas.

The series is fittingly titled ‘Songs From Scratch’ with the idea of pairing together artists who’s “craft and passion inspire action” aka two badass dudes creating badass beats!

Although only in a making-of sort of spec right now the original jam “On You” based around a ‘disgustingly attractive’ gal that the fellas have been metaphorically bonding over seems to have this heading towards destination white hot.

Chets been on a bit of a run with Perth beatmaker and barber shop owner Ta-Ku taking on “Talk Is Cheap” a few weeks back while more recently Flume giving another one of his originals “Gold” a sonic massage before both perform at this years Listen Out parties alongside Four Tet, Bondax and plenty more.

GoldLinks story is a bit thinner but toted as one to watch for 2014 post the release of his clever mixtape/LP thing ‘The God Complex’ that earned plenty of praise online.

With no release date on hand you’ll have to surf the official songsfromscrat.ch website to see a few snaps from the session and words from the guys. Not bad! Whoever was behind these two coming together deserves a cold one!
