Working those 303 acid stabs with a groovy Jamaican vocal, Toddla T Sound has just released his new aptly-titled single ‘Acid’ as part of the ‘On Acid’ EP for Defected. It joins two other tracks titled ‘Phoney’ and ‘Pandoras Box’ for DFTD427D1, the sound he produced was apparently nothing but a fluke, or so he says:

“The funny thing is, as house music got really popular last year and a lot of people started jumping on the bandwagon by starting to play and produce house music I decided I was going to make a point of not doing that…I didn’t want to seem like I was getting on the bandwagon and trying to not seem irrelevant. So the thing is with this record it was a complete fluke.”

Nonetheless, it’s easily the ‘housiest’ tuna he’s produced and out on a reputable label like Defected, I can’t complain.
